    Description

    San Francisco Public Library Main Library Roof Replacement Scope of Work: This project consists primarily of the replacement of the existing built up roofing system at the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street. The new roofing system will be an SBS Modified Membrane Roofing over new roof insulation. This project also includes work to other building systems at the roof to enhance and restore moisture protective performance, including new wet sealant at the skylights, curtainwall and clerestory windows, work to the existing standing seam metal roofing, new liquid applied roofing and elastormeric coating where indicated, work at the cornice, and new roof drains and connective plumbing at the existing skylight. The time allowed for completion is 240 consecutive calendar days. The estimated construction cost is approximately $4,400,000. An onsite pre-bid meeting and site walk will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco. The meeting will be held in the Koret Auditorium in the lower level. Enter from Grove Street. Access is via stairs or elevator near the Security Office near the Grove Street entrance.
