A combination of approximately 100 linear feet of premanufactured truss and 490 linear feet of concrete boardwalk structures will be used to cross Upham Brook near the Grand Richmond at Brook Run on the approach to Hilliard Road. The improvements also consist of drainage design, stormwater management (SWM), pavement marking, and signing. Brook Road and Hilliard Road Trail #FLT The Brook Road and Hilliard Road Trail proposed improvements total approximately 2,800 linear feet of shared-use path, including a pedestrian crosswalk across Hilliard Road (Route 161) and a proposed pedestrian crossing over North Run. A combination of approximately 60 linear feet of premanufactured truss and 30 linear feet of concrete boardwalk structures will be used to cross North Run adjacent to the Belmont Golf Course parcel near the intersection of Hilliard Road (Route 161) and Brook Road (Route 1). The Brook Road and Hilliard Road Trail improvements also include a portion of the road diet along Hilliard Road (Route 161) from four lanes to three lanes. The improvements also consist of drainage design, utility design, stormwater management (SWM), pavement marking, and signing. Hilliard Road Safety and Mobility Improvements The Hilliard Road Safety and Mobility proposed improvements total approximately 2,700 linear feet of pavement marking and signing improvements within existing right-of-way to add bicycle lanes and accommodations. The improvements are along Hilliard Road between Lakeside Avenue and approximately 1,000 feet west of Brook Road, tying into the Brook Road and Hilliard Road Trail proposed improvements. The proposed bicycle lanes will be accompanied by a road diet from four lanes to three lanes.
