    The County of Stanislaus GSA Purchasing Division, on behalf of Aging and Veterans Services, Area Agency on Aging (AAA) (collectively, “County”), is seeking qualified and experienced licensed home health, care, and services agencies (Contractors) to support older adults and address their unique needs for the Stanislaus County Department of Aging and Veterans Services. Eligible caregivers may include a spouse, adult child, family member, friend, or volunteer. The care recipient must be age sixty (60) or older and require assistance with activities of daily living or be an adult diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or related neurological or organic brain disorder.Contractor(s) shall provide respite services to caregivers to temporarily relieve them of the ongoing responsibilities associated with caring for their care recipients. Respite services may include in home supervision, personal care, or homemaker/chore assistance. Contractors must be equipped to deliver these support services to authorized older adults throughout Stanislaus County, including its rural areas. Respite services may also be required in emergency situations or during extended caregiver absences. Service hours are allocated to caregivers by the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) according to assessed need, up to a maximum of thirty-two (32) hours per fiscal year.
