    Description

    Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid The Work of this Contract includes the following: 1. Decommission, remove, and dispose of existing Motorized Control Cabinets (MCC) and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit, and install, test, and commission new MCCs, Supervisory Control Cabinets (SCC) and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit, work at thirty-three (33) fan plant locations on seven (7) subway lines; 2. Install, test, and commission new Data Cabinets, Field Distribution Panels (FDP), Alternative Field Distribution Panels (AFDP), and/or network switches; 3. Install, test, and commission new fiber optic cabling between SCC, new telecommunications equipment and communication rooms; and 4. Perform asbestos surveys and abate asbestos containing material (ACM) identified by both Contractor’s surveys and existing surveys. Special Instructions: This contract includes the opportunity to receive an Enhanced Utilization Credit, which is designed to incentivize the use of MWBE firms that have had limited or no opportunity to engage in contracting with the MTA. The Enhanced Utilization Credit Initiative (EUCI), offered by the MTA in partnership with Empire State Development, allows an additional fifty percent (50%) credit toward the utilization of EUCI-eligible firms for this Contract.
