The City of St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking the services of a qualified construction management firm interested in providing construction management services for the Fire Training and K-9 Compound – Lake Maggiore Programming and Site Analysis project, located at 22nd Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33712. The project consists of the relocation of the existing K-9 Training Facility and construction of a new Fire Training Facility.
The existing Public Safety Training Facilities, constructed in the 1980s, are located on approximately two acres within the City’s Public Works compound on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue utilizes the facility for approximately 90,000 hours of training annually, supporting both personnel and apparatus training activities. The facility has exceeded its useful service life and requires replacement.
A programming study was conducted to evaluate whether a new Public Safety Training Facility could be accommodated within the existing Public Works compound. The study concluded that, with the relocation of the existing K-9 Training Facility, a new Fire Training Facility can be constructed on-site while maintaining ongoing operations. The final site configuration will be determined during conceptual design.
