Scope of Work A. The Work of this Contract includes Flood Protection of Selected NYCT Vulnerabilities in the Boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. The Work is more fully described in the Contract Documents. B. The scope of the Work is generally summarized as follows: 1. Structural reconstruction and installation of flood mitigation protection in fourteen locations, including the following: i. Protect typical sidewalk level vent batteries with Mechanical Closure Devices (MCDs). ii. Protect vent batteries with flash flood benches installed with MCDs. iii. Protect vent batteries with flash flood bike racks installed with technical fabric vent covers. 2. Structural reconstruction and replacement of selected existing hatches with water-tight hatches. 3. Protection of selected existing NYCT manholes with manhole inserts, manhole plugs and/or conduit seals. 4. Protection of a selected existing NYCT vault with conduit seals. 5. Installation of a deployable shoring system and concrete repairs at the South Ferry Fan Plant (FP7207). This is an A + B Bidding Contract.
