This is a Notice for a Single Source Source designation for Alachua County Board of County Commissioners.

Commodity or Service Required:

Florida Library Designs Inc., dba. FDL Solutions moves complete shelves ranges, remove/transport/reinstall library shelves and supplies specialty carts for library materials, during construction/renovation or expansions. Florida Library Designs Inc., dba. FDL Solutions owns Universal Air Lift, Inc. (UAL); which is a pneumatic lifting device which relocates loaded steel shelving for the replacement of floor coverings.

Justification for Single Source Acquisition:

This vendor is the only known local vendor that provides these library services/materials listed below: Move complete shelves ranges, remove/transport/reinstall library shelves and supplies specialty carts for library materials, during construction/renovation or expansions. No other entity will have access to the UAL at any time, it will only be utilized for the Alachua County Library Projects by their company.

Recommended Procurement Approach:

For the reason stated above, Alachua County Procurement Division intends to utilize the Single Source Procurement method to contract with Florida Library Design, Inc, dba FLD Solutionsfor supplying the above.
