Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Rotork Parts, Repairs, and Services Description: Lee County Utilities Department seeks to execute a single-source procurement for OEM replacement parts, maintenance, repair services, field services and technical support for Rotork Controls manufactured valves. Lee County Utilities has standardized and uses only Rotork Actuators for approximately 120 valves on the Ion Exchange System at Green Meadows WTP as well as with other treatment systems throughout the Utility. These valves and associated actuators open and close to allow proper control and flow of water and brine for the treatment processes in the plants. To continue to maintain and repair this equipment, and utilize the remaining warranty, it is necessary to continue with the authorized vendor who will supply our Rotork equipment and maintain service. LCU does not anticipate transitioning to alternative hardware. Accordingly, responses to this posting will be accepted only from vendors that provide the Rotork Controls manufactured valves. Intended Single Source: Fluid Control Specialties, Inc. Justification for Single/Sole Source Acquisition: Rotork Controls, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of Rotork products and associated equipment. Fluid Control Specialties, Inc. located in Sanford, Florida is the sole and exclusive Municipal representative for Rotork actuators within this region of Florida. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Single-Source Procurement method to purchase from Fluid Control Specialties, Inc. to supply the above.
