Town of Brookline, Vermont PO Box 403 734 Grassy Brook Road Brookline, Vermont, 05345 Request for Proposal This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) to restore (ie. repair and mitigation) the stone arch bridge structure number 66-11 of Brookline, VT Culvert Inventory Map. We are seeking a dry stone building professional to restore this historic stone arch bridge structure. The scope of work includes closing down the road for job completion, remove pavement, remove guard rails, dismantle and the downstream end of the stone wing walls and reset, open the middle section of the stone arch and reset stone on the south side middle section. Additional work includes dismantling the upstream end of the wing walls and mitigate erosion behind the dry stone wing walls by installing water barrier materials, and reset. The upstream end of the cement culvert will receive mitigation as needed including installing additional cement to mitigate any erosion under the cement culvert section. Finally, new road pavement and install steel backed timber guardrails which out span the Arch structure and other to return the road to full working condition. Bidders are asked to attend a meeting and site visit on March 10 at 11:30 AM at Town Hall (734 Grassy Brook Road) with a site visit to immediately follow. Bids must be received at Town Hall by no later than 2:00 PM on March 30, 2026. All work must be completed by September 15, 2026. This is a FEMA funded project and all bidders must meet applicable FMEA requirements for bidding, contract terms, work completion and final project close out. The Town Selectboard reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason at its sole discretion.
