    Description

    The work includes, but is not limited to, all labor and equipment to repair, replace, adjust, and maintain pumps, motors, and related mechanical systems; inspection; testing; and emergency response. The Contractor must be able to respond to emergency repairs within 24 hours and to non-emergency repairs within 48 hours. The contract is for “as-needed services” and is not a guarantee that the City will contact you to perform such services. The awarded contract will be valid from July 1, 2026 until June 30, 2029 with two 1-year renewal options at the election of the City. Total charges under this contract are not to exceed $75,000 per one-year period (commencing on July 1st of each year). The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to meet its operational needs. See Attachment A for additional scope details.Contractor shall meet the following requirements if awarded the contract:• The contractor shall possess a Class C-61/D21 (Machinery and Pumps), C-36 and/or C-10 license issued by the Contractors State License Board prior to submitting a proposal. Contractor must provide the City with proof of the license when submitting their proposal.• Must meet the insurance and licensing requirements outlined in the City of Burlingame Contractor Requirements.• Contractor must be able to meet the requirements in the attached sample agreement and scope of work if awarded the contract.• Prevailing wage rates must be paid for all work associated with this project. Workers employed in the work must be paid at rates at least equal to the then current prevailing wage scale as determined by the State Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to submitting a proposal. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Department of Industrial Relations.• The City of Burlingame recognizes that prevailing wage increases may occur during the term of the contract, and consequently will allow labor rate increases of up to 5 percent per year to ensure that the labor rates reflect the current prevailing wage.
