    REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ALLEY REPAVING Date of Request: June 25, 2026 Project Title: GARDEN CITY DDA ALLEY REPAVING Submittal Due: 10:00 AM Local Time, Tuesday, July 7, 2026 for the public opening for this RFP. Late Proposals: Any proposal received by the DDA after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. Proposers are responsible to assure delivery prior to the deadline. Do not assume that a guarantee by a mailing service will ensure that the proposal is received by the deadline. Required Submittal: Two (2) bound copies of the proposal are to be submitted for evaluation by the DDA in accordance with the instructions in this proposal. No faxed or electronic submittals will be accepted. Qualification requirements and fee proposals shall be sealed in the envelope. The qualification proposal shall be labeled on the outside “Garden City DDA – Alley Repaving.” The envelope shall be marked on the outside with the name and address of the RFP Respondent. RFPs are to be submitted as a sealed package to: Garden City City Clerk’s Office 6000 Middlebelt Road Garden City, Michigan 48135 ATTN: ALLEY REPAVING-RFP SPECIFICATIONS: The specifications for the Alley Concrete Removal and Reinstall are outlined below: Contractor to be responsible for setting-up and maintaining traffic control, including signs designating lane closures, if necessary. Site size is approximately 3,750 sq. ft. Contractor shall visit the site and perform visual inspection prior to bid submission. Removal of asphalt in this portion of alley (20 feet wide) and sawcut the eastern edge line of alley and disposal of material. Sawcut and remove parking area for catch basin connection per the CE1 Sheet in RFP. Set forms and install concrete at 8 inches in depth to current standards for MDOT (4000 PSI) concrete installation and curing from the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction Underground preparation with stone and compaction to include 4 inches 21AA. Install fiber expansion as necessary. Set Grade of alley to the drain properly and match all edges per the CE1 Sheet in RFP. Set and install sewer structures/manholes to new grade per the CE1 Sheet in RFP. Restore asphalt parking lot in area of drain installation area and compact asphalt. Backfill and install asphalt hot mix asphalt to taper against new alley concrete, that will be compacted to a smooth surface.
