    Description

    Gilpin County owns and operates a wastewater collection system that is classified as a Class 1 collection system in accordance with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Regulation 100, Section 100.9. The collection system consists of approximately 3.5 miles of pipeline and approximately 80 manholes. The system includes two (2) sub lift stations receiving wastewater from the Gilpin County Community Center and the Gilpin County Exhibit Barn. These sub lift stations discharge to one (1) main lift station, which also receives wastewater flows from the Gilpin County Justice Center, Timberline Station 7, and the Gilpin County Community Annex Facility. The County is required to designate, and maintain a qualified Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for the wastewater collection system to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. As such, Gilpin County is requesting proposal assuming annual contract terms.
