Government Affairs and Lobbying Services

The successful respondent(s) shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to support the development and execution of New Braunfels Utilities’ (NBU) state legislative strategy and agenda by providing legislative monitoring, reporting, advocacy, and strategic advisory services (the “Services”). The Services include, but are not limited to, keeping NBU informed of relevant legislative and regulatory activity, advancing NBU’s policy priorities, and offering clear, actionable guidance on issues that may impact its operations during both legislative and interim sessions. NBU welcomes responses for the full scope of Services or for specific lines of NBU’s business, including water/wastewater or electric (energy). Respondents submitting proposals for a single line of business must clearly identify their area of focus and demonstrate relevant expertise and experience.

• Bid Bond (required) —

  Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier’s check, or bid bond, in the amount of XXXXXof the total bid price, payable toNew Braunfels Utilities, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

• Contract Execution, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Certificate(s) of Insurance (required) —

  The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to New Braunfels Utilities so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
