The County of Riverside Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide professional Grant Writing Services. The selected contractor(s) will assist DPSS with researching and identifying funding opportunities, preparing and submitting competitive grant applications, and providing related grant administration support as needed. DPSS seeks experienced grant writing professionals with a demonstrated record of successfully securing funding through federal, state, local government, private foundation, and other public or private grant opportunities. Services will support the development of funding strategies and proposals that address the needs of vulnerable populations, including, but not limited to, child abuse prevention, foster youth, older adults, and individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Grant funding is a critical resource that enables DPSS to supplement limited public funding, maximize available resources, and expand services for County residents. By partnering with qualified grant writing professionals who possess expertise in funding research and established relationships with funders, DPSS aims to increase its ability to pursue time-sensitive funding opportunities, improve grant award success rates, and strengthen programs that benefit its clients. The awarded contractor(s) will perform grant research and prepare grant applications for specific DPSS projects on an as-needed basis. Compensation for services will be based on an hourly rate.
SLED stands for State, Local, and Education. These are solicitations issued by state governments, counties, cities, school districts, utilities, and higher education institutions — as opposed to federal agencies.
