The Towns and Village are looking to examine a Complete Streets corridor(s) for bicyclists and pedestrians to circumnavigate these municipalities and provide connectivity between various parks and other local amenities such as restaurants, retail, and commercial businesses. The three municipalities are seeking to evaluate and improve their bicycle and pedestrian network, connections, and access through the Greater Baldwinsville area that links parks and trails within the village and in the towns, as well as to consider future connections to the Empire State Trail system and Onondaga County’s Loop the Lake trail. For this project, the SMTC is seeking an experienced consultant, or team of consultants, to complete, at minimum, an evaluation of existing conditions; identification of issues; development of recommendations; prioritization of Complete Streets treatments; development of an implementation plan, to include recommendations, cost estimates, potential future funding sources, and project timing (near/mid/long term), and documentation of all these items as outlined in the Request for Proposals.
