    Description

    Howard County intends to procure the services of one (1) construction firm to furnish services for the construction (including the provision of all required labor, equipment, materials, MOT, etc.) of the final plans and specifications provided herewith for the Guilford Stormwater Pond Repair Project and Water and Sewer Plans. This project involves the removal of an existing concrete riser structure and the in-place abandonment and backfill of two existing pipes. The project also includes construction of a large concrete riser (~17’ wide x 10’ long x 12’ high) and 2-48” RCP principal spillway culverts through the dam embankment. A large concrete storm drain junction box (~9’ long x 22’ wide x 8’ high) will connect the 2- 48” RCP spillway culverts with 3- 48” RCP culverts that will carry flow downstream under Guilford Road;2 storm drain inlets will also tie-in to the junction box. Construction will require closure and detours (MOT) of Guilford Road during construction. This work also includes all associated structures and storm drain extensions to stream, embankment grading, installation of a geosynthetic clay liner, concrete embankment armoring, utility relocation and coordination per the attached plan. Two (2) access points for construction will be on opposite sides of Guilford Road, approximately 0.6 miles east of the intersection of Guilford Road and US Route 1 (Washington Boulevard).
