    Description

Town of Wethersfield wishes to retain a contractor to complete bicycle and pedestrian improvements along approx 4,900 linear ft. of Marsh St and Great Meadow Rd to connect Main St in Old Wethersfield and the state’s trail and parking lot located near the Putnam Memorial Bridge. Includes construction of a new 8’ and 10’ wide, paved multi-use trail and installation of concrete sidewalk and ramps, wooden split rail fence, metal beam guide rail, signage and trail lighting. Includes reconstruction and re-alignment of the Marsh St and Broad St intersection, removal and installation of pavement markings and signs, drainage improvements, limited road widening and incidental work. Portions of the project are located within regulated floodplain areas, which requires earthwork to provide compensatory flood storage volume. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including setaside (25% SBE and 6.25% M/W/DisBE) and non-discrimination requirements enforced by the CHRO
