Public Action to Deliver Shelter, Inc. dba Hesed House is a homeless shelter whose mission is to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and shelter the homeless. The project includes but is not limited to demo of an old building interior and construction of new family shelter living area with offices and bathrooms.
Hesed House is an existing, functioning facility operating year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, whose operations must be disrupted as little as possible by these construction activities. We will still be using the entire 2nd floor of the building. This project is being bid as Time and Material in order to allow Hesed House to maximize its service to the community during construction by separating construction areas from occupied areas. Once bids are received, Hesed House will determine the timing of the phases of the projects. Hesed House will write one contract with a selected contractor. The selected Contractor can subcontract additional trades if necessary.
