    Description

The City of El Mirage (“the City”) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide and install holiday lights and decorations throughout various City facilities and locations. Services will include the design, installation, maintenance, and removal of seasonal decorations on buildings, trees, and surrounding grounds.

Decorations are installed annually for approximately six (6) weeks, beginning in late November. Current locations include City Hall, Gateway Park, Gentry Park, the Fire Station, the Police Station, and one (1) water tank site. Vendors may also propose additional locations for consideration.

The selected vendor must demonstrate experience in similar projects and the ability to deliver high-quality, safe, and visually appealing holiday displays that enhance the City’s seasonal presentation.

    Background

Interest in holiday attractions and activities has grown significantly alongside the community over the past several years. Annually, the City hosts the Winterfest Light Parade, which runs along El Mirage Rd and culminates in a large event at Bill Gentry Park, offering activities, entertainment, and photo opportunities. This large-scale signature event attracts over 7,000 community members at once. The City is looking to expand and improve lighting and holiday decorations to offer a truly unique experience that invites visitors to interact with displays, capture memories through photos, and complement the City’s events and activities throughout the holiday season. The City intends to host a small kickoff to the holiday light displays at an annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall on the first Monday after Thanksgiving each year.
