    Description

The Los Angeles County (LAC or County) Department of Mental Health (DMH or Department) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation, as part of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Hollywood 2.0 Innovation project, to solicit proposals for one (1) contract with one (1) organization that can 1) operate a Hollywood Respite and Recovery Center (HRRC); 2) provide respite services at the HRRC; and 3) provide Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)/Urgent Care Center (UCC) services at the HRRC site. The HRRC and CSU/UCC site will be located at 1224 N. Vine St. Los Angeles, CA 90038. The Hollywood 2.0 (H20) project aims to provide comprehensive, community-based care and services to people experiencing mental illness within the geographic boundaries of the Hollywood community. As part of the H20 project, the HRRC will provide Peer Respite (voluntary, short term, overnight support for individuals experiencing mental distress staffed by people with lived experience) and, along with the CSU/UCC, will be a part of an interconnected service delivery model in one location. The CSU/UCC will work collaboratively with the Hollywood Mental Health Cooperative, community-based service providers, and community specific first responders to provide complete care without any gaps in service.
