Generally, the courthouse will receive exterior repairs including the restoration/replacement of rotted wood windows and associated painting and caulking. Mechanical and electrical systems will be updated. The interior repairs include wall plaster, trim, flooring and ceiling repairs and replacement as well as associated painting. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., at the Lafourche Parish Government, Civil Service Building, 402 West Fifth Street, Thibodaux, LA 70301. The architect shall pass around a sign-in sheet prior to beginning the formal presentation. The sign-in sheet shall be collected by the architect prior to the commencement of the presentation and shall announce that the contractors shall be expected to stay for the entire meeting. Contractors shall not be allowed to sign the sign-in sheet after it is collected by the architect. In accordance with L.R.S. 38:2212(I), all prospective bidders shall be present at the beginning of the pre-bid conference and shall remain in attendance for the duration of the conference. Any prospective bidder who fails to attend the conference or remain for the duration shall be prohibited from submitting a bid for the project. Contractors are advised to arrive at the meeting location in sufficient time to ensure compliance with this provision.
