    The Lowell Housing Authority seeks bids from qualified contractor for the upgrade of an elevator at 65 Summer Street in the South Common Village development. The Project consists of: Elevator upgrades at one mid-rise building with matching equipment and finishes. Work includes cables, counterweights, machine, car, cab interior, door replacement, battery lowering device, steel access door and hardware to elevator pit and electrical connection to new equipment and HVAC that serves elevator cab, hoistway and machine room. Installation of a new generator for emergency power to elevator. A Pre-Bid Site Visit shall take place on June 4, 2026 @ 1:00 PM. Interested Contractors should meet at 65 Summer Street, Lowell, MA 01852. All questions must be directed in writing only to the Chief Procurement Officer, Rita V. Brousseau at rbrousseau@lhma.org by June 5, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM (FSB) and by June 15, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM for General Bids.
