    The Virginia school districts of Bland County, Botetourt County, Bristol City, Buchanan County, Dickenson County, Galax City, Giles County, Grayson County, Lee County, Norton City, Pulaski County, Radford City, Russell County, Scott County, Smyth County, Tazewell County, Washington County, Wise County, and Wythe County, the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail System (all in Virginia) and Elizabethton City (in Tennessee) have entered into a food buying co-op (SAM CO-OP) for the purpose of procuring cafeteria foodand related supplies. The SAM CO-OP consists of 155 facilities with an enrollment and/or population of 61,421. There is an average of 29,136 breakfast meals, 40,826 lunch meals and 4,699 dinner meals served each day. The SAM CO-OP is currently accepting formal sealed bids from qualified vendors to furnish anddeliver food and supplies for the co-op group.
