Bidders shall comply with regulations governing the CDBGRegional Mitigation Program (Regulation 24 CFR 570). Applicable requirementsinclude but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and RelatedActs, Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action,Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, anddisadvantaged firms, as detailed in the project manual. In addition, thesuccessful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment arenot discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity,gender identity, or national origin.A Mandatory Pre-BidConference will be held on June 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST at the Jefferson County DrainageDistrict No. 6 main office locatedat 6550 Walden Road, Beaumont, Texas 77707.The District shall requirethe bidder to furnisha bid securityin the amount of (5%) of the total contractcost. The bid bond must be executedwith a surety companyauthorized to do business in the State of Texas and approved by the Districts advisors. Within ten (10) days after the date of the signingof the contract, the bidder shall furnisha performance bond to the District for the full amount of the contract.Bidders shall forward an original and three (3)copies of their bid to the address shown below. The District does not accept bids submittedelectronically. Late bids will be rejected as non-responsive. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6 boardroomat the time and date below.
