NORTH READING & MIDDLETON CONSORTIUM INVITATION TO BIDDERS The Town of North Reading, acting on behalf of the municipalities of North Reading and Middleton, also known as the NRM Consortium, will receive sealed bids for the items listed below. Bid Item 10 – Street Sweeping 11 – Stone and Gravel 12 – Bituminous Concrete – FOB 13 – Catch Basin/Drain Manhole Cleaning 14 – Drain Cleaning by Vacuum Machine & CCTV 15 – Drainage Structure Reconstruction 16 – Granite Curb, Sidewalks and Ramp Installation* 17 – Guardrails 18 – Pavement Markings 19 – Roadway Crack Sealing* *Indicates Massachusetts Department of Transportation pre-qualification/certification is required. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply. Bids shall be submitted to the Department of Public Works Office at North Reading Town Hall, 235 North Street, North Reading MA 01864 and shall be clearly marked “NRM Bid #2026-03E. Bids will be received until 1:00 PM on March 12, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Select Board Conference Room (RM 14). All bids must be submitted in the format provided in the bid package. A bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid shall be furnished with the bid in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, or in a form of a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, made payable to the Town of North Reading. A 50% labor and materials bond will be required as part of the bid. The Town of North Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, or any portion of any bid, deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
