    Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement The State University of New York at Upstate Medical University will receive sealed bids for project number 151198 / 1517 titled IHP IMT Data Center UPS until 2:00 p.m. local time on 8/11/2026 at Sarah Loguen Center, 2nd floor, 650 South Salina Street, Room 2005, Syracuse New York 13202, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Scope of work is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment to make modifications to the existing electrical systems at the Institute for Human Performance (IHP) building as part of the Upstate Medical University’s downtown campus. The extent of these modifications includes providing a new 300A Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and a 150 kVA Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) in between an existing 480Y/277V/4000A utility switchboard and a 480V/250A Power Distribution Unit (PDU). Additional scope items include one (1) New 480Y/277V emergency power distribution switchboard, equipment upgrades, end of life parts replacement, and preventive maintenance to the two (2) existing PDU’s, remote wireless monitoring of new UPS, shunt trip breaker panel & activation connections for new UPS, and normal & emergency power feeders for wiring of described items. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 180 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.00 made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University, is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. A pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held on 7/22/2026 at 1:00 PM with all contractors assembled at the IHP Building main entrance, 505 Irving Ave Syracuse, Syracuse New York, 13210 Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between the University and potential bidders during the procurement process.
