The Contractor will prepare a task plan which will include a scope of work, a not to exceed estimate for the project cost, work schedule for the project, and a preliminary cost estimate and schedule for the project. SMUD will review the task plan and provide written authorization to the Contractor to proceed with the scope of work. Payment will not be made for work not authorized in writing by SMUD. Payment will be made in accordance with contract specifications for the hours of authorized and work performed.• Indoor air quality assessments are on an as need-be-basis and appropriate protocols from either American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc., American Industrial Hygiene Association, or Environmental Protection Agency shall be used as part of the Contractor reference documents.• Contractor will have the ability to collect bulk asbestos/lead/mold samples, perform lead/mold surface wipe sampling, conduct base-line air sampling, aggressive, clearance air sampling, when required and providing asbestos/lead/mold consultative services. Contractor must have the ability to perform on-site bulk identification methodologies using polarized light microscopy for asbestos either on-site or by local, certified AHERA/accredited AIHA asbestos lab, if needed or requested by SMUD. Contractor shall provide a California Certified Asbestos Consultant or California Certified Site Surveillance Technician under the direction of a Certified Asbestos Consultant; or DHS Certified Lead inspector for asbestos and/or lead projects.• Contractor shall provide Project Management Oversight (PMO) services before, during, and after asbestos, lead abatement, or mold remediation projects for SMUD.
