Inmate Health Care Services

The Commissioners Court of Kendall County is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive Inmate Healthcare System for the Kendall County Detention Center, a 153-bed facility. The County seeks a vendor to serve as its medical services partner, responsible for delivering quality healthcare services and related administrative support for County inmates. The selected provider shall be responsible for hiring, employing, and supervising all personnel necessary to deliver the required medical care. For purposes of this solicitation, “medical care” refers to the treatment and management of inmates’ physical well-being through services provided by licensed medical, nursing, and health professionals. Vendors are invited to submit proposals outlining their recommended service approach and pricing methodology for these services. Payment by the County will be made by check. No bond is required.

Proposals will be electronically accepted on Kendall County’s bid portal at https://www.beaconbid.com/solicitations/kendall-county/open or respondents may submit a hard copy to Sharon Barter, Kendall County Purchasing Agent, at 201 E. San Antonio Ave, Ste #112, Boerne, Texas 78006 until 10:00 a.m. CST Friday, August 7, 2026. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the Kendall County Purchasing Office, 201 E. San Antonio Ave, Ste. 112, Boerne, TX 78006, (830) 388-7440. All late proposals will be rejected. Kendall County reserves the right to reject any and or all proposals. NO FAXED OR EMAILED PROPOSALS will be accepted.
