    Description

    1. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, and disposal services necessary to complete the work. The Bidder shall be responsible for verifying all field conditions prior to submitting a bid. The City will entertain a hurricane rated door system that is comprised of glass sliders or glass garage door configurations. The scope of work shall include the following: Complete demolition of external walls where the hurricane rated door system will be installed; Install required support structure to accommodate the hurricane rated door system; If required, install all electrical infrastructure to operate the hurricane rated door system; Install the hurricane rated door system and perform repairs to the existing building resulting from installation; Contractor shall properly dispose of all materials in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations. The following areas under the scope of this project are as follows. Refer to Attachment A for a diagram where these areas are highlighted in green. Approximately forty (40) feet on the north wall; Approximately twenty-two (22) feet on the west wall; Approximately twenty-two (22) feet of the east wall. Other Matters This door system will be installed and located in a building located at the end of a pier that sits 800 feet offshore in Tampa Bay. The door system must be suitable for exposure to a salt water environment. Contractor will transport all equipment required to perform the work and all workers will access the job site utilizing the walkway currently under construction. A protective barrier must be placed on the walkway to avoid damage to the walkway. Contractor will reimburse the City for any costs incurred to repair any damages to the walkway. All debris generated will be removed using the walkway and temporarily stored in waste containers at a site mutually agreed to in proximity to the Pier. Contractor is also responsible for site clean-up and restoration at project completion. ## Pre-Bid Conference MANDATORY Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference at 8:30 a.m. on April 17, 2026, at Galatis Yacht Club at the address below. Bids submitted by parties that did not attend the pre-bid conference will be rejected. Responses are due on May 6, 2026, 9:00 a.m., via DemandStar only. Timely delivery is solely and strictly the responsibility of the Bidder. Bids received after this date and time will not be considered.
