    Description

    TheTexas Historical Commission (THC) seeks a qualified individual or firm tofurnish John Deere or THC-approved equal tractor equipment, attachments, andaccessories meeting the specifications outlined in the IFB. The awardedcontractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and servicesnecessary to deliver the units in complete and operational conditions. Awardedvendor must meet IFB criteria listed in Section II, 2.6 Bid Requirements and2.12 Past Performance. Services shall include, but are not limited to, therequirements contained in this IFB. Services set forth using the words “must”or “shall” are mandatory and must be provided as specified with no alteration,modification, or exception. Services set forth using the words “may” or “can”allow Bidders to offer alternatives to the manner the goods/services areprovided. For units not compatible with THC’s inventory of existingattachments, the cost of replacing non-compatible attachments will be includedin the best value calculation. To match the specifiedJohn Deere units or achieve a "THC-approved equal," a machine and itsattachments must meet the minimum technical performance benchmarks listed inthe IFB. The format shall be Adobe Acrobat version 9.0 or higher. THC willaward a Contract to a Bidder(s) whose Bid is considered to provide best valueto the State of Texas, as defined by Texas Government Code § 2155.074. THCreserves the right to award contract(s) to one or more Bidders. THC makes itsaward depending on what best serves the project needs. Should any Bidder finddiscrepancies within the IFB document, or should a Bidder be in doubt as totheir exact meaning, notify the THC at once.
