    The Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting formal, competitive, sealed bids from Contractors licensed to work in the jurisdiction for the project listed below.
    PROJECT NAME: Big Shoals State Park – Underground Septic System
    MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: To be held at 11:00 ET, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Big Shoals State Park’s Entrance, 18738 S.E. 94th St., White Springs, FL 32096. Please contact Brandon Williams, Contracts Specialist, at (850) 245-2535, or by e-mail at Brandon.D.Williams@FloridaDEP.gov, to confirm your planned attendance. All bidders must be present and signed in prior to the start of the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Anyone not signed in at the commencement of the meeting will be considered late and will not be allowed to bid on the project.
    BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 pm (ET), Thursday, January 29, 2026, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Boulevard, MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Brandon Williams, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2535. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
    BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 pm (ET), Thursday, February 12, 2026, unless extended by the Department for good cause.
    INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us.
    SCOPE OF WORK:
    Base Bid:
    Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to construct the underground septic systems per the contract documents.
    Commercial General Liability Insurance & Automobile Liability Insurance are required for this project and must be included in bid price.
    Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. To request a pre-qualification letter, the bidder should email BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid.
