A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the Conference Room within the Beaver Lake Aviation FBO terminal building, 1 Cass Hough Drive, Rogers, AR 72756. Pre-Bid Conference attendance is mandatory for bidders on this project. Each bidder shall be limited to five personnel per organization. The project includes, but is not limited to the construction of approximately 10,000 square yards of concrete apron pavement, installation of an underdrain system, installation of taxilane and apron edge lights, and associated earthwork, drainage, and other miscellaneous work as shown on the plans and indicated in the specifications. Concrete apron construction shall include 9 to 11 inches of PCC pavement over a 12 inch crushed aggregate base course. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to City of Rogers. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Bidders must be licensed under the terms of Arkansas Code Annotated §§17-25-101, et. Seq.
