1. Site Protection & Containment

Install heavy-duty plastic dust and vapor barriers to establish full containment and isolate the kitchen area from

adjacent school facilities. Protect all stainless steel work surfaces, walk-in refrigeration units, commercial ovens,

dishwashers, and food preparation stations using poly sheeting and secure tape masking. Mask and safeguard

all fire suppression components, smoke detection devices, gas lines, electrical panels, and HVAC diffusers/vents

prior to work activities. Remove, label, and store switch plates, outlet covers, and wall-mounted signage before

commencement of painting operations.

2. Surface Preparation and Finish

Perform thorough cleaning of walls, ceilings, trim, and related surfaces using an industrial-strength degreasing

solution (e.g., Trisodium Phosphate/TSP) to remove grease, soot, and food-related contaminants. Wipe Rinse all

treated areas with clean water to eliminate residual cleaning agents and allow surfaces to dry completely before

proceeding. Repair drywall and such surfaces by filling cracks, holes, and damaged areas using patching

compounds. Apply mildew-resistant PAINTABLE waterproof silicone/acrylic caulking to all gaps, penetrations,

trim interfaces, and joints.
