Monthly lawn maintenance (monthly invoicing on the 1st). Mowing shall be performed weekly during season (typically April through October) and every other week out of season (typically November through March), for a maximum of 40 services. String trimming of grass, where mowers cannot reach, grass shall be the same height as mowed grass. Edging of hard surfaces (sidewalks and driveways) and bed areas. Weeds emerging within beds and from cracks in driveways and sidewalks and in around sewer pipe/drains are to be sprayed with a non-selective herbicide such as a Roundup or other suitable product. Care should be taken not to damage existing planting. Weeds over 6 inches shall be hand pulled. Clean up all large clippings and remove them from the premises. Concrete surfaces shall be blown off at the conclusion of service.
Additional work may be required at the request of Public Works or the City Manager’s Office. Rates provided in the bid shall include all of the required tools to perform the job. Any parts, pesticides, and fertilizer will be invoiced accordingly at the material markup in the bid.
All work to be performed shall be performed according to industry standards for landscape maintenance, arboricultural maintenance, pesticide application, and fertilizer application.
NON-MANDATORY Non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Public Works Building located at 2301 U.S. 27 South, Avon Park, Florida 33825.
