    Description

    The Town of Palm Beach, Florida ("The Town") is hereby requesting qualified contractors to submit competitive bids to complete improvements at the Police Station.This project is being undertaken to support the Town of Palm Beach Police Department’s organizational growth and to enhance the functionality of its existing facilities. The planned improvements will provide updated, reliable, and appropriately sized spaces that better serve the department’s current and future operational needs. The existing structure is constructed on a thick monolithic slab foundation located below the water table which shall not be modified and load-bearing interior walls supporting the floors above. The project consists of the renovation of the police staff one (1) men's and one (1) women's locker rooms, with total of two (2) restroom spaces, and two (2) public restroom spaces and the renovation and expansion of the locker rooms for the Town of Palm Beach Police Department. The scope includes updating the restroom facilities and replacing the aging sanitary and domestic water piping throughout the building. A video inspection of all piping located below the building’s slab foundation shall be performed to assess pipe integrity and determine whether pipe lining is a feasible alternative to full replacement in order to avoid any modification to the existing slab. The project also includes enclosing portions of the existing exterior arcade to accommodate the locker room expansion.
