    Description

    This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be used to purchase various food products from multiple suppliers to be delivered to the Food & Child Nutrition Services - Maria Luna Food Service Facilities Warehouse. These items are not available through the main commercial and commodity food bids.Bid Award: This bid will be awarded to the most responsive, compliant food service provider that meets our minimum specifications and quality needs with the best value as determined by Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services. The bid will be awarded based on the lowest price of individual line items as well as the lowest combined price of two different lots.Lots Products grouped by like ingredients or similar items. In addition to individual lines items, there are Two Lots on this bid (Spice & Ice Cream Lot): A. Items must meet specifications as listed on the bid sheets. Multiple items that use the same commodity as an ingredient may be grouped together.B. All items in a lot must be bid to be considered a successful bid for the “Lot.” C. Lots may be broken at the discretion of the District based upon the best interest of the District. D. If any one item of a lot is relinquished, the entire lot may be relinquished at the discretion of FCNS.E. Lots will be awarded to the most responsive bidder that meets our specifications and quality needs with the best value as determined by the District and through student preference testing. F. The District will make a determination for the product that will be in the best interest of the students.Pricing Do not provide separate quotes on bidders formatted quote sheets. Pricing must be submitted in Dallas ISD’s electronic portal to be considered.All bid pricing is to be firm for the 26-27 school year, defined in the first year of the bid as May 29, 2026 – May 28, 2027.This is for District-wide use, on an "as needed" basis.All vendors are encouraged to participate even if vendors are the sole source providers.This proposal is being issued in accordance with Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2CFR) Part 200, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) requirements to procure vendors who provide goods purchased by Dallas ISD using federal dollars. This proposal may be used with local, state, federal, and grant-funded programs.LENGTH OF CONTRACT The term of this proposal shall be for a one (1) year agreement with two (2) successive one (1) year extensions based on the long-range needs of the District and mutual consent of both parties not to exceed three (3) years total. Any contract that results from this solicitation and upon Mutual Agreement of the awarded vendor and the District, may be extended not to exceed a total of 3 years(s). If either party intends not to renew the Contract, that party must give written notice to the other party no fewer than ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the then-current term of the Contract. If the District fails to timely exercise any of the options to renew, all remaining options to renew shall expire and terminate. The Bid shall be awarded for the period beginning May 29, 2026 through May 28, 2027, (pending estimated Board Approval) with options for two (2) subsequent One (1) Year period renewals.
