The New York State Thruway Authority (“Authority”) is seeking bids from contracting firms for a Job Order Contract (“JOC”) focusing on Highway and Bridge repair for the Authority’s Buffalo Division. A JOC is a non-specified quantity, non-specified location contract under which the Contractor will perform a series of individual work tasks, referred to as Job Orders, at different locations throughout the contract limits, which are typically Division wide and across numerous counties. As needs for individual job orders are identified, the scope of work will be explained to the Contractor at a Joint Scope Meeting. The Authority will provide the Contractor with a draft Detailed Scope of Work, which the Contractor shall review. Once the Detailed Scope of Work is agreed upon, the Authority will issue a Request for the Job Order Proposal. The Contractor will then develop a Job Order Proposal containing a complete Job Order Price Proposal. The Authority will review the Job Order Proposal, and if appropriate, will issue a Job Order. This bid/proposal opportunity is available on the Authority’s Bid Express website (“Bid Express”). Proposers are responsible for regularly monitoring Bid Express, as any modifications to the solicitation will be issued through formal Addenda and posted thereto. Be advised that there is a law in effect that affects lobbying on procurement contracts; further information about the law and its implementation at the Authority can be found on the Authority’s website, www.thruway.ny.gov, under Purchasing Services; Other Forms and Documents section; Lobbying Law Forms & Guidelines.
