    Description

    The City of Colton Public Works & Utility Services Department (CITY) is seeking proposals from qualified engineering professionals to provide construction management services for the La Cadena Drive Over Santa Ana River Bridge Replacement Project. The project proposes to replace the existing La Cadena Drive Bridge over the Santa Ana River. The new bridge will include two 12-foot lanes, two 14-foot lanes, two 9.5-foot bike lanes with buffers, two 7.5-foot sidewalks, and a 10-foot curbed median. This proposed project will also include relocating utilities, either into or outside the new bridge, as needed; constructing retaining walls, temporary rerouting of bike paths and installing signage. The project is located within the jurisdiction of the City of Colton. The CITY is acting as the lead agency. All work will be conducted and prepared in accordance with City, County and/or California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) practices, regulations, policies, procedures, manuals, and standards, as appropriate and includes compliance with Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) requirements. The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive construction management services including but not limited to a constructability review of the bid documents, administration of the construction contract, monitoring work progress, community outreach, materials testing and environmental monitoring. The selected firm is encouraged to employ and/or use local personnel and firms in the execution of the proposed work. Consultants will need to submit proposals for the La Cadena Drive Over Santa Ana River Bridge Replacement Project as described in Appendix A, Construction Management Scope of Services of this RFP. Proposals submitted by engineering consultants will serve as the basis for developing a short list of firms that will be invited to provide oral presentations and be interviewed.
