    Description

    Nature of Project The Commissioners Court of Nueces County (the “County”) is soliciting sealed competitive proposals from qualified firms to provide professional Land Acquisition Services in support of projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation, Mitigation of Moderate-Income Displacement (CDBG-MIT-MOD) Program, as administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and overseen by the Texas General Land Office (GLO). The purpose of the CDBG-MIT-MOD Program is to reduce long-term risk to people and property from natural hazards through strategic mitigation activities, including voluntary property acquisition and related eligible actions within designated project areas. Selected firms will assist the County, acting as a GLO subrecipient, in implementing land acquisition activities in accordance with approved project requirements. The selected Proposer shall provide professional Land Acquisition Services to support the County and the GLO in fulfilling all applicable State and Federal CDBG-MIT-MOD statutory and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition and associated mitigation activities connected to federally declared disasters. All services shall be performed in full compliance with applicable HUD, CDBG-MIT-MOD, GLO, State, and Federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA), 24 CFR Part 570, 2 CFR Part 200, and applicable Federal Register notices. Scope of Work The Scope of Services for this project is detailed fully in the attachments below: • Attachment B - Scope of Services Contract Administrator: Grants and Coastal Parks Director, Scott Cross, will serve as the contract administrator for this project.
