    The San Bernardino Municipal Water Department is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance services for its Administration and Customer Service facilities. These highly visible, public-facing sites feature drought-tolerant plantings and water-efficient irrigation systems designed in compliance with California’s Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO).The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to maintain, repair, and enhance the landscaping. Services include irrigation system monitoring, routine maintenance, weed and pest control, and implementation of horticultural best practices to ensure plant health, water efficiency, and a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The subcontractor information provided electronically will be the only valid subcontractor information. In addition, the bidder must attach a pdf file(s) to the electronic bid submission containing all of the completed and signed Bid Documents including a Bid Bond. Any bidder wishing to submit a cashier’s check or certified check in lieu of a bid bond must submit such by the bid closing date and time in an envelope clearly labeled with the Project Title, Bid No., Bidder’s Name and Address to the Purchasing Office located at 397 Chandler Place, San Bernardino, California 92408, mailing address (U.S.P.S. mail) P.0. Box 1630, San Bernardino, California 92402. Notes: Before submitting a bid, Bidders shall carefully read the Specifications and the other Contract Documents, visit the sites, fully inform themselves as to all existing conditions and limitations, and shall include sums in the bid covering the cost of each item included in the Bid Schedule.The bidder is solely responsible for on time submission of their electronic bid. The Department will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an ebid confirmation number with a time stamp form the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted.
