    BACKGROUND:                                                  Workforce Solutions Cameron (Board) is a private,non-profit corporation that provides policy planning, oversight and evaluationof a consolidated workforce development system in the Cameron County TexasWorkforce Development Area.   Services offeredthrough two one stop centers include the Workforce Investment Act (Adult,Dislocated and Youth), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF),Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Trade Adjustment Act (TAA), Wagner-PeyserAct (ES), Child Care and other smaller grants.Ifyou are interested in participating, the RFQ will be available on our websiteat www.wfscameron.org. SERVICES REQUESTED: Workforce Solutions Cameron is requesting quotes toprovide lawn care services to the Workforce Solutions Cameron Center located at851 Old Alice Road, Brownsville, Texas.Specificlawn care must include, but not be limited to:LAWN SERVICEMAINTENANCE (performed bi-weekly)  Mow all turf areas on a bi-weekly schedule. Trim turf edges around all walkways and concrete surfaces during each mowing. Sweep or blow grass clippings from all concrete areas bi-weekly throughout the year. Remove - leaves, litter, sticks, and general yard waste. Maintain shrub beds and mulched areas free of weeds. Supply and spread bark mulch once in spring and once in fall. Apply weed control, fertilization, and insect/disease treatments to shrubs and turf twice annually. Provide and install seasonal annual flowers in existing beds during spring and fall. Overseeding - Adding grass seed to bare or thin areas. Perform irrigation system startup and controller management in spring, and complete system winterization in fall (two services per year). Prune palm trees and trim mesquite trees to a minimum clearance of 10 feet, twice annually. Remove trash before and after each mowing service. Complete annual Backflow Certification Testing. All maintenance services must be performed bi-weekly after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends. Exceptions require at least 24-hour prior approval.
