    Description

    The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following Work: The Work consists of the replacement of approximately 250 lead and galvanized requiring replacement (GRR) water service lines located throughout the Village of Oak Lawn service area. Replacement shall include both the public and private portions of identified lead and GRR service lines extending from the water main to the building entry point, unless otherwise directed by the Owner, at locations to be determined through October 2026. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (a) Removal and replacement of lead and GRR water service lines using directional drilling, trenchless methods, or opencut excavation, as required by field conditions. A service line is considered a lead service line if any part of the service line contains lead or GRR; (b) Installation of new water service lines in accordance with Village technical standards and applicable codes; (c) Potholing, utility locating, and coordination with existing underground utilities; (d) Electrical bonding and grounding modifications required as a result of service line replacement; (e) Temporary and permanent surface restoration including pavement, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, parkways, and landscaping; (f) Flushing, sampling, testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance activities; (g) Traffic control, erosion control, dewatering, and site protection measures.
