The County Commissioners of Queen Anne’s County through the Department of Public Work, seek to engage in a contract with a qualified bidder to lease County owned parcels of land for hunting. Term of lease is three (3) years with 60 day written termination notification by either landlord or tenant. Bidders may bid on one or more properties. Lease amount will be paid on an annual basis, $999.00 or less will be paid in one lump sum and $1,000.00 or more will be paid 50% at time of signed lease and balance due in 90 days, non-refundable deposits. Specific properties will have designated hunting areas (see aerial maps). Number of hunters allowed is tenant and three additional hunters. Lands cannot be used for commercial hunting nor sub-leased. Each hunter must have a signed permission slip with Queen Anne’s County. Permission Slips will need to be signed and approved by Landlord and Tenant prior to entry on the property. Prior to Tenant entering onto the Property, Tenant shall procure a policy of insurance, with limits of $1,000,000 for personal injury or death, and $100,000 for property damage, resulting from Tenant’s use of and activities on the Property. Such insurance policy shall be primary, and shall name Landlord as an additional insured, and a certificate of insurance shall be in possession of Landlord before Tenant shall enter Property for any purpose. Policy copy must be provided to Dave MacGlashan dmacglashan@qac.org prior to start of lease.
