  Summary

  The Fontana Unified School District (FUSD) is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for the leasing of temporary refrigeration and freezer units. The units required are one (1) 10-foot refrigerator unit and one (1) 20-foot freezer unit. These units will be used to store perishable food items for school meal programs. The lease period is expected to be 6 months, with an option to extend based on the District's needs.

  Detailed Specifications

  10' Refrigerator Unit

  1. Dimensions: 8'X10'
  2. Temperature Range: Capable of maintaining temperatures between 34°F and 40°F.
  3. Power: Max 440/480V 30.
  4. Doors: Lockable, weather-sealed doors with easy access handles.
  5. Interior: Stainless steel or food-grade aluminum interior for easy cleaning and durability.
  6. Lighting: Lighting inside the unit.

  20' Freezer Unit

  1. Dimensions: 8'X20' 
  2. Temperature Range: Capable of maintaining temperatures between -10°F and 0°F.
  3. Power: Max 440/480V 30.
  4. Doors: Lockable, weather-sealed doors with easy access handles.
  5. Interior: Stainless steel or food-grade aluminum interior for easy cleaning and durability.
  6. Lighting: Lighting inside the unit.

  Service Requirements

  1. Installation: Vendor must provide delivery, installation, and setup of the units at the specified location within the Fontana Unified School District.
  2. Emergency Service: Vendor to provide 24/7 emergency repair services with a response time of no more than 4 hours.
  3. Training: Vendor must provide training for FUSD staff on the proper use and maintenance of the units.
  4. Support: Vendor must offer ongoing technical support for the duration of the lease.

  Delivery Requirements

  1. Delivery Timeline: As soon as possible, but no later than June 5, 2026
  2. Delivery Location: Kaiser High School, 11155 Almond Ave, Fontana, CA 92337
  3. Delivery Conditions: Units must be free from any defects or damages.
  4. Installation: Vendor must coordinate with the FUSD Food Services Department for the installation and setup of the units.
  5. Removal: At the end of the lease term, the vendor must remove the units from the FUSD premises.

  Additional Requirements

  1. Insurance: Vendor must provide proof of insurance, including general liability and workers' compensation, with coverage amounts specified by FUSD.
  2. Contract Terms: Vendor must supply a copy of the lease agreement.
  3. Compliance: Vendor must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the leasing and operation of refrigeration and freezer units.
