    Description

    The City of Bridgeport, through its Office of Planning and Economic Development (OPED) and Office of the City Attorney (“the City”), wishes to establish a list of law firms and/or attorneys to provide the legal service referenced below. Accordingly, the City is soliciting statements of  qualifications from attorneys licensed to practice law in Connecticut, and/or from law firms employing such attorneys, ("The Respondent"). The City seeks responses from firms and/or attorneys with demonstrated expertise in the following  practice areas:

    1. Drafting and negotiating collaborative development agreements with private developers that advance the City’s redevelopment objectives while safeguarding the City’s legal, fiscal, and regulatory interests.

     

    1. Drafting and structuring affordable housing and HUD-funded projects, including HOME-assisted developments, encompassing regulatory compliance, underwriting and closing requirements, subsidy layering, long-term affordability obligations, and all other legal services necessary for the successful completion of such projects.

    Firms and/or attorneys with the required expertise are encouraged to submit a single response detailing qualifications for one or both of the requested specialties. If a respondent is only applying to provide services related to one of the specialties, the chosen specialty (A or B) must be noted in the response.
