    Description

Trout Unlimited (TU) is seeking an experienced, qualified Contractor to provide construction services for a large-scale river restoration and riparian improvement project. This project will replace two irrigation push up dams and combine them into one rock ramp. We also aim to stabilize a large outside bank and replace two aging headgates. The project is in partnership with private landowners, the NRCS, Wyoming Game and Fish Department and United States Fish and Wildlife Service that is intended to improve aquatic and riparian habitat, reduce streambank erosion, improve flood resiliency, reduce fish passage concerns, and improve irrigation efficiencies. The Lewis and Homer project area is located approximately 18 miles south of Evanston Wy near the Chalk Creek Road in Uinta County, Wyoming (Township 13N, Range 120W, Section 34). Reconstruction of the Lewis and Homer diversion is being proposed to increase fish passage at these diversions. Additional bioengineering treatments are proposed to restore channel morphology and reduce streambank erosion. The Lewis and Homer headgates will be replaced. This project has been designed to meet the needs of all project proponents including local landowners, irrigators, and fisheries managers. Our construction timeframe is from September 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026. All in-stream activities will need to be completed during this timeframe. Staging of materials may occur before the in-stream construction timeframe. Contractors must submit a signed, electronic, or hard copy of the Proposal Cover Sheet, Contractor Declarations, Proposal Schedule of Items, Proposal Response Form, and Bid Bonds to the email address or mailing address listed below.
