    The purpose of this RFP is to provide the Buffalo Public Schools with professional learning focused on literacy and language development to help support educators with the fundamentals of reading instruction for approximately 300 teachers in grades PK-4, support reading teachers, literacy coaches, and instructional coaches. This professional learning will ground educators in the “what and why” of teaching the five pillars of literacy (oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension) based on a structured literacy approach which is grounded in the Science of Reading. Educators will be able to apply the knowledge learned from this professional learning to enhance their instruction in literacy.
