Project Description: The work to be performed under this contract includes furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for the Lower Central Interceptor Rehabilitation Project, to rehabilitate the existing Central Interceptor from the Bradshaw/Central Junction Structure to the Influent Junction structure, approximately 6.6 miles. The work consists of rehabilitation by CIPP lining of approximately 1,317 linear feet of 120-inch gravity sewer, 4,627 linear feet of 108-inch gravity sewer, 22,958 linear feet of 102-inch gravity sewer, and 6,129 linear feet of 84-inch gravity sewer and associated work including, but not limited to, pre-lining CCTV inspection, pre-lining cleaning and spoils disposal, CIPP lining, post-lining CCTV inspection, and the construction of lining access shafts and restoration. The Work also consists of the installation of nine (9) cross connections between the Lower Central and Bradshaw Interceptors, rehabilitation of 36 manholes, and the rehabilitation of eight (8) sanitary sewer structures. The Work is within both public right-of-way and easements on private property. The entire project is within the County of Sacramento with some of the alignment within the City of Sacramento limits and other parts within unincorporated Sacramento County. All work associated with this Contract shall include, but shall not be limited to, mobilization/demobilization, sanitary sewer flow control and bypass, dewatering of excavations, sheeting, shoring and bracing of excavations, traffic control in accordance with approved plans, erosion and sediment control, cleaning, debris removal and disposal, inspection and testing, permitting, fencing, site and landscaping restoration (in-kind), and such other items or details that are required by the Contract Documents (plans and specifications). Such other items or details not mentioned above that are required by these specifications or are required to complete the work shall be performed, placed, constructed, installed, or rehabilitated in accordance with the latest versions of the SacSewer Standards and Specifications, the County Standards, the project specific Contract Documents (project specific specifications and plans), and/or as directed by the Resident Engineer. The successful bidder will have 751 calendar days to complete the Project from the Notice to Proceed, which does not include the non-working season between October 16th and April 14th of calendar years 2027 and 2028. Gravity cross-connections will be installed in winter/early spring of 2026. The number of calendar days provided is based on a work close- out by October 15, 2028.
