The School District of Palm Beach County, Florida, will receive (via BidNet Direct @ www.bidnetdirect.com) sealed Bids for: Project Name: LOXAHATCHEE GROVES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - ROOFING PROJECT ADDRESS:16020 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee, FL 33470 ITB NO.: 26-71H PROJECT NO.:1901-2503 BIDS SHOULD BE BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Scope of work is to install a new roof on buildings 1-8, including but not limited to: Delegated engineering, including signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations for all items exposed to wind. Contractor's delegated engineer shall provide engineering solutions for concealed conditions, roof-mounted equipment supports and conditions that deviate from or are prohibitive to performing the work as shown in the drawings. remove shingles, underlayments, flashings & metals down to the existing plywood. inspect existing plywood and polyiso insulation. replace any plywood and/or insulation boards where moisture or deteriorated wood is found. install new roof system. remove gutters, downpipes & downspouts, flashings, drip edges, expansion joints, custom metal shapes, and roof metals and replace with new. repair and paint. joint sealants. prefinished metal panel system repair and replacement as needed. install crickets at all roof curbs. existing curbs shall remain. remove kitchen supply fan supports and pitch pans and replace with new. install curb adapter at intake plenum. Delegated engineering, including signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations for all items exposed to wind. Contractor's delegated engineer shall submit signed and sealed shop drawings detailing supports and structural attachment. re-flash all roof-mounted equipment, including but not limited to: curbs, VTRs, and supports, whether shown on the plans or not. install vent extensions with vandal-resistant caps. Remove gooseneck vents and replace with new. disconnect, remove, store, reinstall, and reconnect roof equipment as required to perform the work. rework electrical, chwr piping, and condensate drain line piping as required to accommodate new roof surface height. all downpipes & downspouts shall be camera inspected and jetted to the nearest catch basin. vacuum debris from catch basins after jetting lines. Pruning of existing trees PROJECT DURATION: 273 Days (9 Months) from the date of the Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion. 90 Days (3 Months) from the date of Substantial Completion to Final Completion ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION: All materials should be based on the School District Specifications, which includes an approved equal. Any existing lightning protection equipment shall be removed and reinstalled. The reinstalled lightning protection system shall be re-certified in accordance with NFPA 780, UL 96A, and Design and Material Standards Section 26 41 00. Provide UL Master Label to the owner upon completion. Provide (Furnish and Install) extensions/increases, including but not limited to cabling, air terminals, down conductors, ground rods, surge protective devices at switchgear, etc. to the existing system for the re-installed system to work as a complete, operational system upon completion of the work Security signage is not included in this bid, and shall not be included in the pricing. The Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement, including but not limited to: all surfaces, building elements, fencing, utilities, onsite and offsite elements, sidewalks, grasses, plantings, irrigation, and hardscape disturbed by and/or damaged by construction activities. If required, the Contractor will remove and/or modify chain link fencing, including adding gate(s), as needed for site access. Openings in the fence shall be secured at the end of each workday. Fencing is to be restored to equal or better condition upon completion of the work. All work during the summer can be completed during the day or night per the SPA/ School approval. The schedule will still have to be worked out with the school as summer activities will be happening on-site. During the school year, work can be performed after the school day is completed, but the schedule will have to be coordinated with school staff as there are activities at night. Holidays and weekends can be day or night work; however, the Contractor will still need to coordinate with school staff & SPA as activities are sometimes scheduled during these times. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Florida Building Code 2023, Florida Building Code 2023 8th ed, District Master Specifications, 2023, and the ANSI/AWWA C210‐84. Clean‐up and disposal of all debris generated during the Project. Final inspection to ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements.
