The project consists of one (1) contract: LRRT – Catenary and Insulator Replacement – Phase 5, with a scope of work divided into Base Bid items The Base Bid consists of replacement of approximately 18,641-linear-feet of Contract Wire, necessary assemblies and insulators which shall include, but not be limited to: • Mobilization. • Contractor Work Plan. • Catenary and Insulator Replacement. • Allowance. • Existing and New OCS Anchor Inserts. • RWP / RWIC Services. • Engineer’s Field Office. Refer to the Project Manual and Contract Drawings for further information. The NFTA reserves the right to cancel this procurement, waive irregularities, reject any or all bids and extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own labor forces. Refer to Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work” for the anticipated Notice(s) to Proceed, Project Duration, and additional time constraints associated with this project. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work”. The percentage goal of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in the project shall be 0% (zero percent).
